Starting Point
From the parking lot at Camping La Escalada Gandía, you can follow the path through the campsite to the back. First, you need to pay the entrance fee for the Via Ferrata at the reception. They will then direct you to the signs leading to the starting point of the Via Ferrata.
Renting Climbing Gear

Its possible to rent a complete climbing set, including a pulley for the ZIP-LINE, at the campsite where you also need to park. At the reception, you can pay the entrance fee and rent a climbing set. It is also possible to rent just a ZIP-LINE pulley if you don’t have one. They will ask if you have insurance for extreme sports. If you already have it, don’t let them persuade you to purchase it again, as they may try to sell it to you. However, if you don’t climb often, it might be worth considering getting insurance.

The Route

The Start and Ascent

La Falconera Via Ferrata begins with a relatively easy approach route. This first section serves as a warm-up, allowing you to check your equipment and get used to using the iron cables and footrests. There is also a vertical iron ladder to climb further up. As you ascend, you will start to see the stunning landscape unfold!

Monkey Bridge

After the iron ladder, the second obstacle of the route is the monkey bridge. From here, you proceed horizontally across the monkey bridge and generally continue horizontally with a slight ascent, leading you to the next part of the route: the ZIP-LINE.

ZIP-Line

The zip-line is not mandatory; you can climb around it via the walking path to the other side of the zip-line. If you don’t have a pulley, you can still complete this Via Ferrata. The zip-line is well-maintained and equipped with a spring at the end to slow you down (see photo below this text block). Always be mindful of the wall you are heading towards.

Soaring freely through the air with a beautiful view of the surroundings is an amazing feeling!

The Via Ferrata continues with a short K3 climb upwards.

Tibetan Bridge

After the zip-line, you continue on the route to the next obstacle, the Tibetan bridge. This bridge has gaps between the steps, offering a beautiful view below as you walk. The steps towards the end of the bridge are spaced slightly further apart.

Single Rope Bridge and Hinge
The final section includes a single rope bridge followed by an airborne hinge! This hinge is visible in the photo below, and if you prefer to skip it, you can climb around it using a staple in the rock wall. After this, you will reach the endpoint and can enjoy your triumph!
